Careers Event at Brownlow House
More than 30 representatives from a range of professions took part in a careers information evening at Brownlow House, Lurgan, on Wednesday, October 23. Approximately 200 students and their parents attended the event, which was promoted and supported by the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland in partnership with the respective Orange Societies at Queen’s and Ulster University. The evening provided an opportunity for students (Years 10 to 14) to speak directly to people who are actively engaged in specific careers on a daily basis. Information was also available on third level education and Orange bursaries. Representatives of the Student Orange Societies were in attendance and the event was also supported by the Drew Nelson Legacy Project.
